What people say about us:
“The EcoStoof® is really great! I'm really pleased with it. It reminds me of my childhood. My grandmother always used to make thick rice pudding which she'd leave under a blanket all afternoon long."
“You put your hot pot with its briefly boiled or fried contents in this outdoor mob cap and a little while later get to enjoy a cooked dish. You can also make broth in it. There's another advantage to be gained from the EcoStoof®: it makes the people of Groningen happy.”
“My most recent purchase was an EcoStoof®. This eco slow cooker is nothing more and nothing less than a modern-day version of the good old haybox: a warm nest in which you can cook food without the use of fuel. The designers have thought out its construction well, from the filling to the heat-insulating cork at its base and the use of heat-reflecting material in the lid.”
"We cook with relatively thin pans, which means things can burn relatively fast. But this doesn't happen if you use the EcoStoof®. Or you sear some stewing steak in the morning and come back in the evening and eat a boeuf Bourguignon with no further ado!! Brown rice comes out perfectly after 45 minutes too!"
"Lastweek I used the EcoStoof® several times to my total satisfaction. It does take a while to work out how much time certain dishes require. The EcoStoof® is even big enough for my favourite 5-litre stock pot!"
"In the last few days, I have made two of our favourite stewed dishes in the EcoStoof®: rib casserole and poached pears. The result was fantastic!! I continue to be amazed at how hot everything still is after three hours.
In brief: I am really pleased with the EcoStoof® and would recommend it to anyone. The dishes turn out better than from the gas cooker and it has a good 'eco feel'."
"This week I made a delicious lentil stew in the EcoStoof®. I am happily surprised at how the EcoStoof® is able to retain heat so well. Everything was cooked within the recommended time. I'm really happy with it and it's perfect for picnics and the vegetable garden."
"I bought an EcoStoof® after seeing it on Dragon's Den. Now a couple of weeks later, I have the following to say about it. Until now, I've been very enthusiastic about the EcoStoof® because first of all you save energy and therefore - costs. But what's actually more important, it gives me peace of mind more than anything. It is no longer necessary to coordinate lots of cooking times and I am no longer exhausted when I get to table. I do think there's a sort of minimum time, but much less of a maximum time. When it comes to how it is made. I think that the cord with the stopper is the part that will wear out the soonest.
The cookbook is nice, but it's a pity that the ingredients lists are printed in a relatively small, grey font on a grey background. It's difficult for older eyes. I would also have liked to see more photos of the cooked dishes.
This is my experience to date. I wish you lots of success in the future."
"I was given an EcoStoof® by some friends last year. To be honest, I'd never heard of it. But since then I have used the EcoStoof® several times. Above all in the winter: stews – spaghetti sauce – Belgian chicken stew ... delicious. All the flavours are retained. I think I will also delight my children with this ecological pumpkin at Christmas ..."
"What a lovely, practical and healthy way to cook! I got your EcoStoof® from Anna, put my stewing meat in it this morning, went to play golf and now that I'm home I've had a wonderful meal. It's a really brilliant idea. Cooking smells-wise too, because otherwise my whole house stinks of stew and as I have a B&B that won't do. I'm really pleased with it. I'll tell people about you."
